Boneta Bill is now Law!

This year’s version of the Boneta Bill, SB51 passed through both the House of Delegates and the Senate this year, and was quietly signed into law by Governor McAuliffe.

Those that opposed the bill, Virginia Association of Counties (VACO), Farm Bureau, and our own Fauquier County government to name a few, have been strangely silent today.

Here are a couple of articles about the passage of the bill, one from our friend Bryant Osborn who writes the Fresh and Local column for the Star Exponent, and another from who were instrumental in keeping this issue on the front burner for the last two years.

The lion’s share of credit should go to Del. Orrock for sponsoring this great piece of legislation. Let freedom ring!

The passage of the Boneta Bill proves that Fauquier County Government does not care as much about people’s health and welfare as it does about their control over everything through permits and other RED TAPE. Thank you Virginia Assembly patriots. Madge Eicher
