The Schilling Show reports that former Albemarle County Supervisor Chris Dumler (D) had his license to practice law suspended.
As reported about Dumler’s larger controversies: “Best known for facing forcible sodomy charges while serving as an Albemarle County’s Scottsville District Supervisor, Dumler resigned his seat following conviction on lesser sex charges and a subsequent firestorm of public outcry.”
Dumler served on the Albemarle Natural Heritage Committee, whose stated mission is to “provide a healthy environment for the citizens of Albemarle County.”
Dumler also served on the Virginia Association of Counties Administration of Government, Public Safety and Telecommunications steering committee.
Those familiar with these pages know that we have reported about the very flawed human beings in county government, even right here in Fauquier County.
We have also reported about the very flawed individuals in positions of leadership in VACo.
Citizens have reason to be concerned about the quality and character of people overseeing administration of government and our public safety. Local government control needs controls on it precisely because any government, including that which is closest to the people, is nevertheless run by flawed people — even those not charged with crimes.
With regard to the Dumler situation and his VACo committee assignment, it ought to give you the heebie geebies, and Halloween isn’t even here yet.
