Fauquier County Elected Official Comments on Del. Lingamfelter’s Face Book Page

Editor’s note: we have had some problems with the link to this page. Please read the article first (HERE) which will bring you back to this page through the link at the bottom.

Here is a portion of the thread on Delegate Scott Lingamfelter’s Face Book Page. (If you would like to read the rest, or if you support Delegate Lingafelter and HB 1430, please “Friend” him on Face Book.)

Delegate lingamfelter posted the following. See the comments of one elected official that follow:

Americans for Prosperity has included HB 1430/ The Boneta Bill on their 2012-2013 AFP-VA Freedom Defender Score Card! Good way to make sure that my colleagues are held accountable for their vote on this pro-property rights legislation!

Holder Trumbo Scott, you are a self serving clown and the reason that citizens vote continually.for reform. Government exists to serve the citizens, not your failing Lieutenant Governor campaign.

Ileana Johnson Scott, the citizens of Virginia who are not beholden to UN Agenda 21 appreciate your efforts on our behalf. You work for us, not for NGOs and supervisors who would rather see our property and farming rights curtailed.

Jessie Swan I am the owner/operator of a small diversified farm and OPPOSE this ridiculous and vindictive piece of trash legislation. If it passes you and your crazy property rights whackjobs will destroy agriculture in this state. Until you espoused this crazy cause I was eager to support you in your bid for Lieutenant Governor – you have always been a good friend to sportsmen and I was happy to donate and allow your signs on my land. You have gone off the deep end – really and truly. Everything you have said or written about this bill is a lie, the “story” behind the Bill is a complete fabrication – and this crazy wingnut rhetoric coming out of the GOP is the reason we are getting our butts handed to us at election time. Why don’t you just hand the governorship over to a Democrat and save us the trouble of an election, Scott. You sure are doing your best to ensure a landslide victory for the DNC at the state and federal level. I’m sure Hilary will send you a thank you card from the White House. Way to screw over the people who put the food on your table, Scott.

Tony Romano Keep at it Scott Lingamfelter

Mb Adelson Hey BR – can I take Trumbo and Swan out behind the gym after school and EXPLAIN some things to them for ya? Beginning with being civil and showing some basic respect if they want to address an issue? And thanks for understanding the importance and necessity of property rights as the foundation of the Republic. ITB, M.B.

Rick Buchanan Scott, It takes a real leader like you to stand where smaller men will not. It takes a real man to stand up in the face of blistering, negative rhetoric spitting out lies at you. It takes a real man to filter through today’s PC crap to discover what the truth is and then champion that truth, no matter what is said about you.

Rick Buchanan Thanks, Scott, for being there for us.

Holder Trumbo Truth? Like the $5K fine that never happened? Or the myth that a property owner was cited for a private event, or selling their own produce? Or Scott’s statement to Chris Granger and me that this bill isn’t aimed at Fauquier County? Truth, courage and honor have nothing to do with this bill. Spare us the nonsense.

Lynne Richman Cox I disagree with this bill because of the how and why it was created but I do sincerely hope that civility will prevail in this discourse…

Rick Buchanan Holder, let’s let everyone decide whether or not Boneta was originally cited by your Zoning Administrator for selling farm produce without a Special Administrative Permit. Read for yourself starting on page 8http://www.fauquiercountycitizensforfamilyfarms.com/files/54483759.pdf

Rick Buchanan This is the original citation before your ZA started changing the playing field after she was challenged in the public.

Rick Buchanan Then on page 15 comes the now-famous birthday party, right after the pumpkin carving event. These are included in a list of events dug up by those very industrious county researchers that had time to scour the internet, but did not EVER set foot on Boneta’s property to verify anything. Now there is a bill addressing that County misstep, introduced by another friend of Liberty, Bob Marshall.

Eric Herr Scott, thank you so very much for introducing HB1430–it rally is a Divid versus Goliath struggle–and you are on the right side. Bravo!

Holder Trumbo Rick, are you going for a law degree? She was cited for selling items that she did not produce. No farmer has ever been cited for selling their own produce in Fauquier County. Beside the fact that we couldn’t do that if we wanted to, why does the bill give farmers the newfound right to sell items they don’t produce? A dairy farmer could sell Breyers ice cream under this ridiculous bill. And the advertisement on the internet to rent the farm to the public without a permit is the infraction, not a picture of a private event used for advertisement. And you still have not addressed the fictitious $5K fine that was used as fact to excite folks in a classic example of demagoguery. If this bill is so good for agriculture, then why was it introduced by a suburban delegate and opposed by the Farm Bureau, agribusiness council, and the largest agriculture counties in the commonwealth? Please do explain to all if us what you and Scott know about agriculture that all of us do not.

Ice Cream "Clowns"!

Ice Cream “Clowns”!

Holder Trumbo Bob Marshall? The name equals silly.stuff that reflects negatively on the Republican Party. Counties in PD 9 with a population between 65-70K? The clown forgot to say ,”and starts with an F and includes a Q in it’s name”. Totally gutless, and BTW illegal. Let’s see how far it goes. I guess he thinks that all of the above should be legal everywhere else.

Rick Buchanan Holder and anyone reading this, Just read the citation I included in the link above, please. This is the original citation which was read and presented at the hearing I attended. You do not need to be a lawyer to see nothing is mentioned about sales of anything she did not grow. That is why Farmer Cites Farmer For Farming   http://www.rightsidenews.com/2012071421799/life-and-science/energy-and-environment/fauquier-cites-farmer-for-farming.html   nailed it. That is why we all get it. Please stop coming back to the the story that was changed by ZA Kimberly Johnson in the second hearing, after Boneta’s lawyer ripped her a new one. Why do all of you board members refuse to read the original citation and realize what it says, not what you now want it to say????

County zoning law now requires an Administrative Special Permit in order to sell…See More

Eric Herr Thank for the clearification Rick. Why all the ad hominem attacks you, Scott, and this HB1430?

Cameron Jones In the interest of full disclosure, Holder Trumbo is Chairman of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, at least two of whom (Holder Trumbo and Peter Schwartz) appear to be wholly owned subsidiaries of the Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC). They always seem to be the two at the forefront of every new ordinance in Fauquier County that further limits the property rights of the citizens of the county; ordinances like the Winery Ordinance for instance.
One would think Fauquier County citizens would start asking themselves why this is.
Jessie Swan, whose ridiculous rant appears elsewhere in this thread, is on the board of Citizens for Fauquier County (CFFC), which truly IS a subsidiary in purpose of the PEC.
Just in case he makes an appearance here, Leslie Cheek III who appears on the pages of the Fauquier Times Democrat all the time opposing property rights of Fauquier citizens, is also on the board of CFFC, a fact which is never disclosed in that publication.
Mr. Trumbo and the rest of the Fauquier County Supervisors would do well to take heed of the voter’s view of property rights in our county.
The Eminent Domain question on the November ballot received a 75% approval statewide, but in Fauquier the voters approved it by over 84% demonstrating that they are acutely aware of government usurpation of their property rights.
John Jay, Founder, Framer and first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court declared “It is the undoubted right and unalienable privilege of a citizen not to be divested or interrupted in the innocent use of property. This is the Cornerstone of every free Constitution.”
The key word here is “Use”.
The government of Fauquier County has for too long, “interrupted and divested” the citizens of their right of “innocent use” of their property by way of a Comprehensive Plan and a Zoning Ordinance that states up front that you can do nothing on your property unless the Zoning Ordinance allows it.
That is Tyranny, not protection under the law.
This is law breaking use of the force of government to implement unjust laws in the form of a Zoning Ordinance, and for what? To protect the lifestyles of a few wealthy individuals.
That IS what the opposition to this common sense amendment is all about after all, isn’t it Mr. Trumbo? Protecting the lifestyles of your benefactors?
Mr. Trumbo claims that Delegate Lingamfelter is a self-serving clown for introducing this bill, and that makes the people vote for “reform” in every election.
Mr. Trumbo should be careful that HIS self-serving actions do not get the people of Fauquier thinking of a couple of other “R” words, like Replace, or Recall.
If you’re not careful Mr. Trumbo you will end up with a Board of Supervisors comprised of five Lee Sherbeyn’s; where will your friends be then?
If you are not familiar with HB 1430 and the statements of those who oppose it, you can read about the facts versus fiction here: http://fauquierfreecitizen.com/facts-versus-fiction-about-the-boneta-bill/
By all means, read the lies of Fauquier County officials, but for the truth you might want to go to ‘fauquierfreecitizen.com’ and read the articles there as well; information backed by facts such as the actual citation that the county does not want you to read.
Mr. Trumbo banks heavily upon the probability that you have not, and will not actually read these documents.
I encourage everyone who is interested in the truth about the Boneta case, to visit the link provided by Mr. Buchanan, and read it yourself.
Keep in mind as you read the citation and the staff work of the Zoning Administrator and her staff, that this “investigation” was conducted without anyone from the county ever visiting the farm.
To this day, the only county official to visit the farm has been Supervisor Lee Sherbeyn whom Mr. Trumbo seems to think is a Clown too.
So according to Mr. Trumbo, Lingamfelter is a Clown, Marshall is a Clown, and everyone who supports this common sense bill is a Clown.
Here is an observation for you Mr. Trumbo; if you think the first person you meet in the morning is a clown, they might be; but at the end of the day if you think everyone you’ve met that day is a clown, then YOU are the Clown.
It’s the end of YOUR day Mr. Trumbo.
Scott, Keep up the good work!

Facts Versus Fiction about the Boneta Bill

H.B. 1430 amends the Right to Farm Act (RFA) in just three simple ways.

Lateesha Jackson The county’s April 30, 2012 Final Order against Ms. Boneta states: “[T]he Facebook webpage for Paris barns includes photographs of a child’s birthday party that was held, according to the user comments, around January 22, 2012. While staff has yet to confirm whether this was actually a Le Bon Paris event, this point is moot, insomuch that the fact that the event even occurred on the subject property constitutes a clear violation of Section 3-309.16. A special exception and site plan approval is required for these uses. Since the appellant [Martha Boneta] has no such approvals, the April 30, 2012 notice was warranted and is valid on this basis.” (Original emphasis.)

Lateesha Jackson WHY IS HOLDER TRUMBO – A BOARD OF SUPERVISOR’s CHAIRMAN- personally attacking A DELEGATE ON FACEBOOK? MOST OF ALL, WHY IS HOLDER TRUMBO LYING?:
