The Fauquier County Board of Supervisors is set to meet tonight at the Warren Green Building, 10 Hotel Street, in Warrenton.
The big items on the agenda all involve the Fiscal Year 2014 Budget.
Between additions to the County Administrator’s budget and the 5 million dollar increase requested by the Acting School Superintendent, Fauquier residents could be looking at a substantial tax increase this year.
If you are concerned, then you need to make your voice heard early and often.
The details of the meeting tonight, as well as upcoming scheduled meetings and agendas can be found on the Board of Supervisor’s website here.
Tonight’s agenda is located here.
Fauquier Free Citizen is going to begin posting reminders and the agendas for public meetings as a service to our loyal readers.

I want to see a line item budget. I asked Paul McCulla for one once and was ignored. We pay him 6 figures to be ignored. Oh that’s right he works at the pleasure of the supervisors pet projects. They pay him to ignore the taxpayer.

To be able to understand the finances of the town of Warrenton and the County of Fauquier, YOU MUST learn about the Second set mof books that they both must by law keep. This second set of books is known as the C.A.F.R. Comprehensive Annual Finance Report It shows where the tax payers money is being held in EXCESS of the Budget. It shows investment income, assets, and loads of other info the tax payer knows nothing about. Return on investment of tax payer money can be four to four hundred times the so called Budget. Open your eyes, government is a business making great profits from over taxation and notice it never goes down, always up !! government gets bigger and control over the citizens with more regulation continues !!! Wake up and Google !!!!
