This was a favorite for us kids at when we were young. Every year on Christmas morning we would eagerly empty our stockings, knowing that we were going to receive some of Grandma Walter’s Peanut Butter fudge. I passed this tradition along to my children who love it just as much as we did.
2 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa
3 tablespoons corn syrup
2/3 cup milk
Stir above ingredients until it forms a soft ball in cold water (235- 240°). Let it cool about 3 minutes then add:
3 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Option: 2-3 tablespoons walnuts or favorite, if not in peanut butter.
Stir together and pour in greased glass dish and cool completely before cutting.
Grandma Walter’s Peanut Butter fudge is not just for Christmas; enjoy it year round whenever you have a sweet tooth that needs filling.
