Fauquier County’s W.S.A. has put this sleepy town on the map.
Marshall, Virginia is the first town to have “Buster Hydrants”.
Main Street has what appear to be fire hydrants, but they are really not for Fire Department use, they are doggie comfort zones.
Fire trucks may not attach their hoses in the event of a fire in any of the buildings in town. These things that look like fire hydrants are really for “Buster” to do his thing. Have you ever seen a dog pass a hydrant without hiking his leg?
This is an up and coming town. In February the town increased taxes by 2 cents on electric lights and business improvements. The things that look like hydrants are already in place, so “Buster” taxes won’t have to be raised.
The W.S.A. is an unelected authority, so if you have a problem with the “Buster Hydrant” situation, there is nobody to address your objection to.
Now I wouldn’t say that Marshall is going to the dogs, but rather that “Buster’s” number 1 comes first.

How embarrassing maybe the county needs to come off some more money to WSA surprised the zoning administrator that only enforces the ordinance has not shut this town down or at least issued a notice of violation to them.
