House passes bill stemming from Fauquier dispute over farm business

The Boneta Bill, H.B. 1430, passed the Virginia House today and moves to the Senate.  The bill was inspired by Fauquier County’s zany and creepy antics, threatening fines for birthday parties and telling Paris farmer Martha Boneta she couldn’t sell her farm products even though she had a business license.

The whole story has exposed some in Fauquier County government as being uncivil, petty bullies who are unfit for office.  FauquierFreeCitizen.com will continue its probing coverage of that.

Whether you believe in this bill and Ms Bonita or not, you have a reality here that cannot be escaped. She has gained a growing support among voters in Fauquier County. She has made alliances with state senators and delegates that will support her to move legislation into law very quickly. Now the BS for Fauquier can’t help but notice what is happening. Could any of them gain the support Ms Bonita has (and still is) gained? Could they gain the kind of support she has in Richmond?
