Whiskey-Marinated Grilled Salmon

Whiskey-Marinated Grilled Salmon is an easy to prepare and delicious fish recipe that we are sure you will enjoy!

Total Time:

35 minutes, plus additional 6-24

hours for marinating.  Serves 8

½ cup Olive Oil

2 – Tsp Sesame Oil

7 Tbls Kikkoman Soy Sauce

2 Tbls Hot Sweet Chili Sauce

¾ C Canadian Club Whiskey

3 Tbls Brown Sugar, Dark

5 Cloves Garlic, peeled and finely minced

1 ½ – 3 Lbs Salmon

Marinate: Wisk together oils, sauces, whiskey, sugar, and garlic together.

The day or day before you are planning to cook salmon, place it in marinate and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight. (Zip lock baggie works great)

Place salmon on aluminum foil tray on upper rack of grill or grill on a soaked cedar plank directly on grill grate (soak plank for a least an hour), skin side down.  Cook 20 minutes at 400° basting once with marinade in the last 5 minutes.

Slide spatula between skin and fish to remove for serving. We like to turn the salmon over and remove the brownish gray flesh that can impart a strong flavor to the salmon.

This can also be served cold like smoked salmon.
